Upgrade, downgrade, and manage your ArchDoc subscription

Managing Your Subscription

Access and manage your subscription through the Billing page in your dashboard.

Accessing Billing

  1. Sign in to ArchDoc
  2. Navigate to Dashboard > Billing
  3. View your current plan and usage

Current Subscription Info

The Billing page shows:

Upgrading Your Plan

From Free to Base/Premium

  1. Go to Dashboard > Billing
  2. Click the Upgrade button on the desired plan card
  3. In the upgrade dialog:
    • Select your plan (Base or Premium)
    • Optionally add extra seats beyond the included amount
    • Optionally enter a promo code
  4. Review the total cost and click Proceed to Checkout
  5. Complete payment via Stripe
  6. Your upgrade is immediate

From Base to Premium

  1. Go to Dashboard > Billing
  2. Click Upgrade to Premium on the Premium plan card
  3. Review and confirm in the upgrade dialog
  4. The change is applied immediately

Seat additions on an existing subscription are prorated and charged immediately. Seat reductions take effect at the next billing cycle.

Adding Seats (Base Plan)

On the Base plan, you can add seats for additional team members:

  1. Go to Dashboard > Billing
  2. Click Upgrade Plan on the Base plan card (even if already on Base)
  3. In the dialog, increase the Additional Seats counter
  4. The cost preview updates automatically ($9/seat/month)
  5. Click Proceed to Checkout or Update Subscription

You cannot add seats on the Free plan. Upgrade to Base first.

Viewing Usage

Monitor your usage to avoid hitting limits:

Seats

  • View current team size vs. included seats via the Team Seats card
  • A progress bar shows utilization
  • Red bar indicates you've reached the seat limit

Documents

  • Track document count vs. limit via the Documents card
  • Premium shows "Unlimited" with no restriction

Promo Codes

Apply promotional discounts when upgrading:

  1. Open the upgrade dialog from Dashboard > Billing
  2. Enter your promo code in the Promo Code field
  3. Click Apply
  4. If valid, the discount is shown in the price breakdown
  5. Proceed through checkout with the discount applied

Some promo codes offer a 100% discount, allowing immediate upgrade without a Stripe checkout session.

Billing History

View past invoices through Stripe:

  1. Go to Dashboard > Billing
  2. Your subscription renewal date is shown on the Current Plan card
  3. For full invoice history, contact support or access the Stripe billing portal

Active Promotions

If a promotion was applied to your subscription, a banner on the Billing page will show the promotion name and discount percentage currently applied. 3. Some codes offer percentage discounts, others fixed amounts

Promo codes can only be applied during checkout or registration. Contact support to apply a code to an existing subscription.

Canceling Your Subscription

To cancel your subscription:

  1. Go to Dashboard > Billing
  2. Click Cancel Subscription
  3. Confirm cancellation
  4. Your access continues until the end of the billing period

After cancellation, you'll be downgraded to the Free plan limits. Ensure your team size and documents fit within Free limits, or data may become inaccessible.

Reactivating

If you've canceled and want to resubscribe:

  1. Go to Dashboard > Billing
  2. Click Reactivate Subscription
  3. Select your desired plan
  4. Complete payment
